Positions Available

A. ASSISTANT TEACHER (available IMMEDIATELY)

We seek the services of an Assistant Teacher for the Year 3 or 4 classes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A relevant S1 Degree
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Be well organised, display confidence and initiative
  • Teaching experience is an advantage, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply

B. PRIMARY TEACHERS (available July 2010)

Student numbers have grown significantly and several new classes will be formed in the primary school.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A relevant Bachelor's/S1 Degree
  • A formal teaching qualification (eg Grad Dip Ed) is desirable
  • PYP experience is highly desirable
  • Experience as a class teacher
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Be well organised, display confidence and initiative

C. SECONDARY TEACHERS (available July 2010)

With the launch of our Year 11 class for the next academic year, we require secondary teachers to deliver the Cambridge curriculum (IGCSE and A-Levels). We seek to cover the disciplines of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics and/or Business Studies with 3 teachers. Any other areas may also become vacant and we would be interested in receiving applications from secondary teachers who have expertise in more than 1 subject.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A relevant Bachelor's/S1 Degree
  • A formal teaching qualification (eg Grad Dip Ed) is desirable

D. LIBRARIAN (available IMMEDIATELY)

The (Teacher) Librarian will perform several regular library duties in the JIMS library, especially cataloguing and circulation.

Essential Qualifications:

  • S1 Degree in Library Science
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Work experience as a Librarian; teaching experience is a distinct advantage
  • Be well organised, display confidence and, especially, initiative

E. RECEPTIONIST (available IMMEDIATELY)

To welcome visitors to the school, redirect enquiries and perform general office duties.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Receptionist Diploma
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • At least 2 years experience as Receptionist
