It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Jakarta International Multicultural School website.
It is an exciting time here at JIMS. We have just begun our 2009/2010 academic year at our fabulous new campus. Our new location has allowed us to modernize our facilities and improve the learning environment for all of our students.
We are currently a Candidate School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and have just undergone our Pre-Authorisation visit from International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).
At present, our curriculum consists of the Primary Years Programme for our preschool and primary students while those in their secondary years follow the an international syllabus. We find that this creates the perfect balance for developing our students’ mind, body and spirit as well as preparing them for the competitive global environment of today’s world.
The school truly lives up to its multicultural name. We are fortunate to have a school community which consists of representatives from five continents! Our students work side by side with their classmates from around the world. We find that this brings a wealth of different ideas and experiences to class discussions allowing our students to develop knowledge and understanding with an open mind.
