Let me assure you that JIMS conducted a thorough research before it eventually decided to adopt the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. The Vision and Mission Statement of JIMS matches nicely with the Mission Statement of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). By using the IB curriculum, JIMS is in a much better position to pursue its motto ‘Advancing Creativity and Excellence’ through the development of the whole
child: body, mind and spirit. The IB curriculum will allow the students of JIMS not only to excel in maths, science and computing but also to be well versed in languages, art, drama, music and sport. In considering the whole child, no area is more important than any other.
Our motto ‘Advancing Creativity and Excellence’ does not apply only to the children, but also to the teachers. Other than encouraging students to be active learners, the IBO system also provides regular capacity building for the teachers. JIMS does not just recruit the best teachers, but also provides them with capacity building to make them even better.
